Villa Domitiana Positio

One of the most beautiful and unique properties on the Italian coast built on the remains of a large 50 BC Roman Villa belonging to the Domitii Ahenobarbi family from which Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, better known as Nero, was descended.

Description

This villa was featured in the 1970 movie classic “The Adventurers” with Candice Bergen and Ernest Borgnine. Completely rebuilt on original 2000 year old stone foundations in 1988, the house has every modern comfort. Each double bedroom, has private bathroom, television, ceiling fan, telephone with intercom system and spectacular sea or garden views. Double sized living room, with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and sunset, is equipped with Satellite TV (CNN,NBC,Discovery, etc.) and fireplace. Giant Jacuzzi pool and direct private access to the sea, just a few steps away. There is also a Turkish bath.

The property consists of 2.5 acres of beautifully manicured lawns, the remains of a medieval turret built in 1442, olive groves, rose and herb gardens, roman artefacts, a spacious gazebo (seats 18) for alfresco dining and 5 large terraces.
